This is an easy 3Km (2 mile) walk with 65 metres (200 feet) of climbing.

Start at the Bo-Peep Public House (TQ 491 636). Take the road South East to Shoreham (Chelsfield Lane). After 100 metres take the footpath on the left - it is almost hidden in the hedgerow.

Follow this all the way (600 metres) to the Rock and Fountain Public House (TQ 494 639).

After refreshments in the Rock and Fountain leave by the car park and cross the road into Pump Lane. This is an unmade road and a public footpath. Follow this lane in an almost straight line for 600 metres to the Kent Hounds (TQ 497 643). The middle section of the footpath can get very muddy at times!

After refreshments in the Kent Hounds leave by the car park and turn right.

WARNING. This road is often used by cars travelling at excessive speeds - they will not be expecting to meet walkers, so be extra vigilant.

At the fork in 300 metres bear left. At the cross roads in 150 metres go straight across into Well Hill Lane.

In 500 metres, at the end of Well Hill Lane, there is an access point into the woods on the right. Almost immediately after entering the wood there is a path to the right. Take this path, which goes downhill. In 250 metres at the path cross roads, turn right. Follow this path for 300 metres until it reaches the road. Turn right and in 300 metres you are back at the Bo Peep and time for another refreshment stop!
