Minutes of the Well Hill Residents Association AGM Held at Well Hill Mission Church On Tuesday 29th April 2008

The Chairman, Chris Courtney opened the Meeting.

There was a talk on the History of Well Hill, by Geoffrey Copus (historian and author). Mr Copus also had many maps, documents and photographs to show.

Chris thanked Geofftey for a very amusing and interesting talk.

Councillor C.Dibsdall attended the meeting and was available for questions

PCSO Steven Vincent was introduced to the Residents - contact numbers were given should any problem arise.

The Minutes ofthe last AGM 24th April 2007 were approved and signed.

Matters Arising

Details of the Produce Show were available

13th July - String Quartet in the Mission Church

Cannon Virgo invited members of the Association to a COmmemoration Service in Warren Road, followed by a reception in the Museum at Shoreham.

After complaints about the Carol Setvice, Cannon Virgo asked for suggestions of carols and said he would try to include them in the next Carol Service.

Rock and Fountain - nothing to report - still for sale.

Chairman's Report

The Chairman reported that the Carol Service has once again been very successful and very well attended .

The Produce Show - pleased to see so many entries and hoped fur even better this year.

The Chairman stated that the Association tried to help residents with problems and urged residents to approach the Committee if they can help in any way.

EDF It is hoped that work will begin in the near future. It is planned that 9th June will be the starting date and the work should take approximately three weeks.

Vice Chairman's Report

Nothing to report

Treasurers Report

The majority of the income is from subscriptions and the Treasurer urged Committee Members to collect where possible.

The Produce Show showed a loss of £15.35.

Election of Officers

Rolls and responsibilities were allocated ass previously.

Any Other Business

Raves

There is to be a meeting 14th May at Swanley Police Station

Sevenoaks Concessionary Travel Scheme

The Cheaper rail fare scheme has been withdrawn

Speed Monitoring on Rock Hill

survey was carries out by Bromley and they are now awaiting a revue by K.C.C. A charge of £400 will be made for further monitoring. Concern was expressed for the speed of vehicles throughout Well Hill.


A vote of thanks was given to Cannon Leslie Virgo and Jerry Walker for the use of the Mission Church.

There being no other business the meeting closed at 21.25
